Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this stunning 1956
Chrysler New Yorker. Chrysler used the New Yorker name from
1940-1996, serving as the brands flagship model. This New Yorker
runs like a watch. It starts, shifts, brakes and goes down the road
really quite nicely. The car here is powered by what appears to be
a 5.8L Firepower Hemi.
Chrysler christened the 1956 model year's design "PowerStyle," a
product of Chrysler designer Virgil Exner. The New Yorker gained a
new mesh grille, leather seats, pushbutton TorqueFlite selector,
and a 354 cubic inch Hemi V8 with 280 hp (209 kW). A four-door
pillarless hardtop made its debut, and the "DeLuxe" nameplate was
dropped from the New Yorker for 1956.
The car comes with onwers manual, spare tire, CD player. It appears
to be very solid and is neat and tidy throughout. Don't miss your
opportunity to own such a unique piece of automotive history.
