Same family since new! I bought it from a gentleman that owned it
10 years and it has been in his family since new. We have a title
showing the same owner from 1953 to 1998. This deluxe 6 wheel
rumble seat roadster was maintained and preserved, not
restored.
EXTERIOR: Easiest way to tell a deluxe is the shorter chrome
windshield. The dual side mounts and rumble seat are also very
desirable. All original Henry Ford metal. The fenders have the
serrated edges, reproduction is smooth. It is rock solid metal. It
was given an amateur repaint many years ago. So it's a little wavy
and has plenty of flaws, but it is shiny. Overall, the chrome is
good. Original Ford script headlights and glass lenses. Original
Spartan AOOGA horn. All 6 white walls were replaced at the same
time, the spares have never been used. It also has cowl lights,
Ford step plates, wing windows and a luggage rack. Guide Fog lamps
were added in the 40s. How many model As have their original top?
This one does even though it's torn. It also has original set of
side curtains.
INTERIOR: Original genuine leather upholstery on the seat! It's
actually soft but does have some cracks and splits. Correct rubber
mat on the floor. Overall good shape.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original vin # matching 4 cylinder motor. It's
all authentic- hose clamps, generator, spark plug straps etc.
Overall clean looking.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: No trunk, it's a fun rumble seat! You can't ride
in one without smiling. There's a step plate on the bumper and
fender so you can climb in. It has its original genuine leather
upholstery in very good shape.
UNDERSIDE: Overall a clean and proper presentation. Correct
exhaust. The bottom of the motor and the 3-speed trans is
clean.
Best and last year of the Model A. The rumble seat deluxe roadster
with dual side mounts is the most popular. If you like patina and
character, this has over 90 years worth!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
