Vehicle Description
This 1996 Chevrolet C1500 is one of those modern classics with an
unmistakable custom look. After all, this has an award-worthy
custom artwork running the full side of the car. So you're already
in love/lust with this one before we tell you about the performance
crate motor, comfy interior, and the adjustable air ride
suspension. So take some extra time looking over this full package
because there's a lot to love for such an affordable price.
The impressiveness of this one all starts with the paintwork. This
is a comprehensive airbrushing consisting of multicolored flames
and mean-looking graphics that has been laid on every body panel -
even the roof and added hard tonneau. And the background canvas for
all this artwork is a glossy silver. This unique presentation was
done by the masters at DuSold Designs. They said this was about a
$35k investment in the paintwork, and it still looks worth every
penny today. And while the paint already ears this truck's price,
there's so much more to see. There are plenty of street machine
style details like shaved door handles, smooth roll pan, and cowl
hood. Those 20-inch American racing wheels go well with the shine
of the chrome front end, and it's hard to ignore their intimidation
factor - especially when you dial-in the adjustable air ride
suspension for a mean stance.
Where the exterior details are all about a wild custom look, the
investments inside seem to be more about custom comfort. For
example, the seats are borrowed from a more modern GM product. You
have terrific bolstering and a center console in-between. Yours
even power adjusts to the ideal driving position. The billet
steering wheel and pedals are a nice addition to remind you that
you have a custom truck. But the tilt column and full gauges remain
stock because they don't need improvement to make a solid driver.
Power windows, tinted glass, cup holders, an alarm, and an AM/FM/CD
stereo with USB and Bluetooth make for a practical and comfortable
setup. And we really like how the air ride controls were nicely
integrated into the center console.
Because you're going to be showing off every inch of this ruck, the
engine bay was made ready for prime-time, too. Smooth custom inner
fenders funnel your attention to all those polished pieces on the
V8. And beneath the shine is a 350 ZZ4 performance crate V8/ We're
even told this is actually a 383ci stroker, and it has the strong
feeling of power to back up this claim. It also gets its power from
the right go-fast goodies like aluminum heads, a four-barrel
carburetor, and a Texas Speed intake. And headers add extra power
while also enhancing the rumble of the dual exhaust. As you look
underneath, you can see that the air ride also means better
suspension components, like tubular front control arms and a
four-link rear. Plus, power steering, a four-speed automatic
transmission, and power brakes w/discs upfront make this a great
all-around driver.
Distinct, powerful, and absolutely awesome, this is likely the most
affordable way you can take home a one-of-a-kind cruiser. Call
