Z06 offers an unprecedented level of capability and technology,

of 198 mph. Corvette Z06 also returns surprising fuel economy of 26
mpg on the highway. The LS7 reintroduced the 427-cubic-inch engine
to the Corvette lineup. Unlike the previous 427 engine, which was a
big-block design, the 7.0-liter LS7 is a small-block V-8, the
largest-displacement small-block ever produced by Chevrolet and GM,
and a tribute to its 50 years as a performance icon.
Instrumentation consists of a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a
driver information center, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil
pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer displays 6,472. The
7.0-liter LS7 V8 is equipped with a dry-sump lubrication system and
an oil cooler, and was factory rated at 505 horsepower and 470
lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a
six-speed manual transaxle and a 3.42:1 limited-slip differential.
