Emerging from a frame-off rotisserie build, this 1971 Chevrolet
Chevelle has been extensively modified to become an absolute
showstopper. Finished in PPG Rosso Corsa Red, better known as
Ferrari Red, it's impossible to miss and uses a Tamco clear, sealer
and primer to ensure an exceptional finish. Most of the brightwork
has been removed, including the door handles and sideview mirrors
for a stunningly clean look, the bumpers and slightest trim pieces
glinting in the sun. The beautiful bodywork sustains under the hood
with a smoothed firewall and inner fenders set up in the same red
finish, black where the factory would have had placed it. The 496
CI big-block Chevrolet V-8 engine has been built and dressed with a
multitude of performance and appearance products such as a billet
4340 crankshaft, H-Beam rods, a Comp Cams hydraulic roller
camshaft, aluminum roller rockers, pop-up pistons and aluminum
Patriot heads that have been ported and machined, all conspiring to
create a 10:1 compression ratio. The look is spectacular, the
engine matching the appearance, finished in Rosso Corsa and black
with only the slightest notion of aluminum. An MSD Pro Billet
distributor with MSD box and coil and Black Holley Terminator EFI
system help provide easy starts and a controlled fuel-spark
management, while a built 700R4 transmission with Corvette servos
channels the power to a built 12-bolt Positraction rear end. The
transmission is set with a Sunburst clutch pack and 3rd Element
sprag, all controlled through a Pro Ratchet shifter set in the
center console with light-up cupholders positioned between two
modern Pontiac GTO bucket seats with racing seat belts. Nestled
into the new SS dashboard are Dakota Digital gauges, NACP air
conditioning controls, a Pioneer head unit, Ididit tilt steering
column with a Billet Specialties steering wheel and more. The
interior is fully customized with soft touch surfaces and red
stitching throughout, the back seat featuring hand-shaped foam. The
chassis and suspension have been fully powdercoated and stainless
steel brake lines feed Wilwood brakes. During the build, stainless
steel Grade 8 or ARP hardware was used. Providing sound deadening
and insulation, the bottom and inside of the body were sprayed with
Raptor liner and the interior was covered with four boxes worth of
