1958 Chevrolet Black Restored Impala
Car History
The 1958 Chevrolet Impala was a full-size car built by Chevrolet.
It was Chevrolet's popular flagship passenger car and considered a
top-of-the-line Bel Air hardtop and distinguished from other models
by its symmetrical triple taillights.
We have a top-of-the-line 1958 Chevrolet Impala here at Adventure
Classics that was restored to its what we feel as close to a
100-point car as you can get and still drive it condition.
It is beautifully finished in black paint and a striking red,
black, and white interior as well as having a VIN # F58K171769
which also shows this Impala to be an 8 cylinder Belair.
Engine & Drivetrain
Pop the hood and you will see the optional Tri-Power carburetor
setup on its perfectly restored 348 cubic inch engine that was
rated at 280 horsepower and was Chevrolet's first-ever big-block
V8.
It looks as it did from the factory with the engine, intake, and
iconic valve covers painted Chevrolet Orange, triple chrome open
element air cleaners, and the engine resides in a very clean and
detailed engine compartment with a 3-speed manual transmission
backing it up.
Our Impala rides on white wall tires and has factory spinner
hubcaps and looks period correct with the fender skirts, dual
exterior mirrors and dual exhaust.
Interior
The restored interior is done and has an all new look with the
front bench seat and the rest of the interior redone in the
tricolor combo of red, black, and white and features the optional
chrome tissue dispenser.
The rest of the interior is impeccable with its matching color
scheme continued with the door panels, rear seat, factory steering
wheel, dash with all the correct factory gauges, three-on-the-tree
shifter, updated Stereo Radio system, and all new matching red
carpets and Impala logo red floor mats.
Exterior
Our Impala has a paint job on it better than when it was new. The
black paint flows over the body and looks great on the dual
headlamps, deeply sculptured rear fenders, Impala's three
taillights on each side, crossed-flag insignias above the side
moldings, as well as bright rocker moldings and dummy rear-fender
scoops.
All of those styling cues were stunning back then and now as they
were meant to give this Impala a "rocket ship" design.
Conclusion
The 1958 Chevrolet Impala models, like the one we have here at
Adventure Classics, were longer, lower, and wider than its
predecessors and this great restored 1958 has an excellent arrow
straight body with one of the hottest color combinations you will
ever find.
It has all the flash, looks, power, and attention to detail you
will ever find.
