Vehicle Description
The third generation of Lebarons coupe and convertible came on the
J-platform. It was quite modern and aerodynamic for its time and
was called stylish by some featuring hide-way headlights, a raked
windshield and curved body panels. There were several engines
offered with the stock engines being a 2.2 and 2.5 naturally
aspirated or turbo-charged but in 1990 they offered a highly
dependable and more powerful Mitsubishi 3.0 Liter V6. Also, called
the Phantom in Mexico, the 1990 model year offered up a refreshed
interior with new dash, door panels and center console design.
The 1990 example offered here is neat and tidy throughout.
Highlights include a power convertible top, white leather seats,
cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power drivers seat, owners
manual, power locks, power windows and power mirrors, air
conditioning, power brakes. It is powered by its V6 paired with an
automatic transmission. For anyone that wants a fun and inexpensive
'fun" car this is your chance. Upon taking for a test drive, we did
notice that the odometer was not working, the car does handle well
and is a blast to drive.
