CPR Classic is excited to offer this mild hot-rod 1970 Porsche 911T
that underwent a complete CPR restoration five years ago.
This example was fitted with a 3.2L Carrera engine and 915
transaxle upon completion at the original client's request. The
original, matching numbers engine is included with the car and can
be overhauled to the buyer's desired spec and re-installed in the
car if they prefer.
This 911T received the same treatment that all of our restored
vehicles receive but benefits from added horsepower and torque. The
client also had CPR add air-conditioning to the car, making it far
more livable for western and southern climates.
The car was disassembled and stripped to bare metal. All necessary
metal work was performed, and the tub was scrutinized to ensure
proper gaps, fitment, and finish of all panels prior to moving into
the undercoating shop. In the undercoating shop, the bare tub was
undercoated to better-than-factory standards with Wurth
undercoating, and the underside was properly refinished in
black.
The tub was then moved to the paint shop, where it was sealed and
primed. Several hundred hours of sanding and blocking followed to
ensure laser-straight panels and a perfect foundation for the fresh
Glasurit paint. The body was refinished in Silver Metallic and then
moved to the assembly shop for final assembly.
The suspension was powder-coated for durability, and all of the
hardware throughout the suspension was replated to correct
finishes. The stronger 915 transaxle received a rebuild, and the
previously-mentioned freshly overhauled 3.2 Carrera engine
completed the mechanical build-out.
The interior was refinished in black leather by Autobahn Interiors
in Sorrento Valley, California. A new carpet kit was installed
along with replacement door pockets. Palo Alto Speedometer
performed a complete overhaul on the gauges to finish out the
interior.
This 911T has only traveled about 1,000 miles since its complete
restoration. This example presents an opportunity to own a
CPR-restored 911 without the wait, and it also presents a chance to
have that CPR-restored 911 with a more powerful, less-fussy
powertrain.
The car is immediately available with the 3.2 engine installed.
Should the client wish to maintain the numbers matching powertrain,
it is included. In addition, CPR can restore the correct engine to
the client's specification at additional cost. Don't miss this
stunning, CPR restored 911!
