Vehicle Description
1987 944 S Coupe is fresh in from a wonderful local consignor who
has been the caretaker of this particular S variant for the last
several years. This has been only in the hands of a few extremely
well mannered owners since new. This car was bought new in Chicago
area by an IBM executive who owned the car well into the early to
mid 2000s before it was sold to its second long term owner in Utah.
It most recently came to Arizona and has been completely brought up
to fully serviced by its 3rd owner and had an expensive required
maintenance and oil leak repairs done including having everything
on the front of the engine rebuilt and resealed including balance
shafts, timing belt and idlers, oil pan, front cam seals, motor
mounts, water pump, new power steering rack, fresh brakes, and oil
cooler seals. This is in addition of all service receipts going
back to brand new which shows timing belt being completed every 30k
miles and a new clutch done at 45k miles. Recently the clutch
master and slave cylinders were also done. This is by far the best
documented and serviced 944 we have ever represented and it
includes all original documentation including the original window
sticker and certificate of authenticity. The car itself does
amazingly and has a squeaky clean history with no accidents or
damage! The car retains all original paint with exception of front
headlights and hood which were probably refreshed many years ago to
clean up rock chips and road debris ware. The color match and
quality is an exact match to the original guards red single stage
paint on the rest of the car. The car was ordered with the
performance front and rear sway bars as well as the touring package
which should have supplied slightly more fine tuned springs and
Koni shocks. The car rides of Cup wheels and has a great stance and
look. The all original black leather interior and crack free dash
and mind-blowingly clean for a 35yo car. Certainly always garaged.
