This 1954 Buick “Jaded” is a multiple award winning seven year build with only break-in miles, created by some of the best in the industry. The idea was to build a car that that was timeless in looks and features while retaining the past and integrating the future in its’ design.
Cambra Speed in Orange California removed the body and the new one-off custom frame was reinforced. Four corner E-Level Air Ride with Accuair Controls was installed and Cambra designed and fabricated the custom Mandrel bent exhaust system and suspension bracketry. Power is supplied by a ZZ6 backed by a smoothed and painted 700R automatic transmission and a Ford 9 inch positraction rear end with 373 gears. Stopping is easy with Wilwood dics brakes on all fours. Matt Brady of Brady Sheet Metal fabricated the engine compartment, showing no bolts or attachment points, and he created a custom 54 Buick dash.
Bernt Karlsson cut, filled and tucked the front and rear bumpers just right. The cowl was filled, the hood and fenders were radiused, and 1 1/2 inches of sheet metal was added to the rockers and side fenders. The rear fins were lowered, peaked, and extended to the back windows. The rear bumper was lowered, and pushed out allowing the lower rear fins to be pushed out, creating a sleeker flowing rear tail section.
Church Rods and Relics in St Charles Michigan applied the two tone Glasiert paint to the newly finished and perfected body. Mike Curtis of CRR made custom shim packs for the heads so the engine would appear to be a true nail head and he carved a set of custom billet valve covers to mimic a true 1954 Buick valve cover. He also designed the custom emblem, instrument bezels, and cool console plate holding the Genie shifter and electric window switches. Jessie Greening then added the final dash bright work and custom steering wheel.
Don's Custom Upholstery in Midland Michigan created the leather interior dyed to match the beautiful body. Shaun at Evod Custom Wheels in Encinitas California designed and fabricated a set of 19x7 and 20x8 one off wheels to finish off this spectacular ride.
