Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 24th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Tri-Five Chevrolets (1955-1957)
are some of the most recognizable, popular, and beloved automobiles
to ever turn a wheel on an American turnpike. Clare MacKichan and
others working under Harley Earl designed what many regard as the
definitive 1950's automobiles. When compared to today's amorphous
styling, it's no wonder that these cars continue to attract
attention and admiration from multiple generations of enthusiasts.
This stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (1067DTX)
beautifully demonstrates the world-class styling and engineering
that made these cars legendary. Beneath the hood is the correct
(BCN 3720991) and beautifully restored 265 V8 that's sporting a
correct (CN 3731394) Winters foundry aluminum intake manifold with
dual Carter 4bbl carburetors and nestled under the imposing batwing
air cleaner, one of the greatest conversation starters known to
man! Additional features include correct Onyx Black paint (687),
correct Ivory and Charcoal (602) trim, power steering, power top,
3-speed manual transmission, 3.70 rear gears (AA), dual exhaust,
grille guard, Continental kit, fender skirts, and 205/75R15 wide
whitewall tires on steel wheels with rare '56 wire wheel covers.
Although the frame-off restoration was performed years ago, the
professional quality of the work and obviously pampered ownership
have resulted in a still magnificent and legendary automobile.
Please note the outstanding condition of the chassis in the images.
