1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Blue
Car History
The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-size car produced by Chevrolet for
the 1950-1981 model years. Initially only the two door hardtops in
the Chevrolet model range were designated with the Bel Air name
from 1950 to 1952, as distinct from the Styleline and Fleetline
models for the remainder of the range.
The 1956 Bel Air back then received a face-lift with a more
conventional full-width grille, pleasing those customers who didn't
favor the Ferrari-inspired '55 front end. Distinctive two-tone
bodyside treatments and graceful front and rear wheel openings
completed the "speedline" restyling.
The Blue/White 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air we have here at Adventure
Classics has been restored back to the factory stock look with
period correct engine, interior, and paint job.
Engine & Drivetrain
The engine is the correct 265 cubic inch small Block, aluminum
aftermarket intake with a 4-barrell carb, factory cast iron exhaust
manifolds feeding back to a dual exhaust system, orange painted
Chevrolet script valve covers, chrome open element air cleaner,
power steering, power disc brakes, and sits in a clean and painted
engine compartment.
It is backed by a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission and
rides on great black sidewall performance tires with factory
Chevrolet Rallye wheels. It also sounds great with the dual exhaust
system running out the back of the car.
Interior
When you open the door you will find a gorgeous body matching blue
factory stock appearing brand new two-tone interior consisting of
the matching bench seat in front and full seat in the rear and door
panels, blue dash with factory instrumentation, great stainless
dash trim, sports steering wheel on a polished billet steering
column, carpets and floor mats, seatbelts, and the column mounted
shifter.
Exterior
Our 56 has a great combination of Robin's Egg Blue and White paint
on the sides and top and certainly looks the part. Thanks to their
killer curves of the Bel Air family that really lend themselves to
the paint, it looks great with great chrome and glass as you can
see in the pictures.
The body lines are great and include the styling cues that make
this Tri-Five look so good. Single housings incorporated the
taillight, stoplight, and backup light, and the left one held the
gas filler to really ad to this 56's aesthetics.

provide you with a superb Tri-Five ride that's both comfortable,
durable, fast, and safe as well as owning a restored 1956 that few
