Vehicle Description
This 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT 4x4 has only gone about 400 miles
since completing an eight-month full restoration project. They took
the time to give you a fresh look to a true classic style. So you
get an impressive total package with cold-blowing A/C, a strong V8,
and even an upgrade to the Free Wheelin' bold graphics that make
this stand out in any crowd.
This one makes an instant impression as a true classic. It's
absolutely because of the sunset-style graphic dominating both
sides. This mimics the Free Wheelin' package offered by Ford back
in the day, but what you see now is actually a recent addition
that's also part of the overall big investment in this Bronco. This
has the top-trim XLT Bronco, and that means plenty of brightwork.
The restoration delivers a mirror-like presentation on the chrome
bumpers, grille, and full-length trim. It's the perfect way to
contrast the fresh black while still complimenting its gloss. There
are also some well-integrated upgrades that add to both the style
and substance like the new tailgate, bright dual exhaust tips, and
15-inch Pro Comp polished wheels. And we understand exactly why
this 4x4 was given such a high-level restoration. The new Bronco
reminds most of us how much we love the originals. And not only was
this the first generation of the full-size style, but it was also
only available for a short two model years. So this one is
sought-after for both its history and the investment that makes it
a stunner in modern times.
The interior is a terrific presentation of the 1970s-style cloth
weave pattern within the sand beige seats. And just like the
exterior, it all looks exceptionally fresh. So while you can take
the fiberglass hardtop off to make this a convertible 4x4, we doubt
the interior has spent any time outdoors since its restoration. The
premium Ranger XLT trim package gives you some nice wood grain
appliques on the steering wheel and dash. This does a terrific job
framing all the classic features like the AM/FM stereo, power rear
window control, and cold-blowing air conditioning (it has been
subtly upgraded with new components and R134a refrigerant.) It
makes for a total impression that feels like a premium time
capsule.
Under the hood is a proper big blue oval powerhouse. Ford's mighty
351 cubic-inch V8 has the same time capsule look as the rest of
this Bronco, and that's how you know they took extra time and care
restoring this one. And because the full package was only rebuilt
about 400 miles ago, this V8 is as strong as it is fresh. Even the
three-speed automatic transmission was part of the restoration
rebuild to make sure this shifts smoothly. And power steering,
power brakes, and front discs make for an easy cruiser. As you look
underneath, all the new components make this look too nice to take
off-road. But you also know this Bronco knows how to get muddy. The
two-speed 4x4 transfer case, Rancho 55000 shocks, and Mickey
Thompson Baja tires keep you going over some very uneven
terrain.
Since this Bronco is exceptional in every way, so is the paperwork.
The sale comes with the factory buildsheet, owner's manual, title
documentation, and build receipts. This Bronco turns back the clock
with its head-turning classic style. So if you're looking for the
best of a rare breed, don't let this one slip away. Call
