There are a few vehicles you come across in your life that make you
think, "this must be one of the finest examples in the nation."
That is exactly what you have here in this 1982 Toyota FJ40 Land
Cruiser. This Toyota FJ40 is an original U.S. market truck and
benefits from a 5 year old, nut-and-bolt restoration. The
restoration was carried out by Proffitt's Resurrection Land
Cruisers in Orchard City, CO with receipts totaling in excess of
$90,000. Proffitt's is known for restoring some of the finest Land
Cruisers in the nation and the quality of this restoration speaks
for itself. The Desert Tan exterior is in excellent condition with
no orange peel and only a few minor stone chips to note on the
driver and passenger side steps. The show quality exterior is
complimented nicely by an ARB steel front bumper, Bumper-mounted
Warn winch, Vision X bumper mounted lights, K9 roof rack,
Proffitt's Resurrection Land Cruisers rear steel bumper with
swing-away spare tire, and White factory style steel wheels wrapped
in BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A rubber. The Grey cloth/vinyl interior
is in near mint condition with no flaws to note. The attention to
detail in the interior of this fantastic FJ40 is very apparent and
is much better equipped than a factory U.S. FJ40 would have been
originally. This FJ40 Land Cruiser is well equipped with options
such as: power steering, power front disc brakes, Vintage Air air
conditioning and heat, pneumatic front and rear locking
differentials, ARB under-hood air compressor, interior and exterior
auxiliary lighting, and digital AM/FM stereo with hands free
operation. Powering this great Land Cruiser is its original 4.2
liter inline 6 cylinder backed by its H55F, 5-speed manual
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should. This FJ handles the road very well thanks to Bilstein
shocks at all four corners and an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer.
The combination of the H55F, 5-speed transmission and the
suspension upgrades allow this truck to handle highway speeds.
Included in the sale of this meticulously restored FJ40 are the
receipts from the restoration, inspection sheets, and a brief
ownership history. If you are in the market for a Toyota FJ40 Land
Cruiser and would like the opportunity to own one of the finest,
restored examples on the market, then you will want to take a very
close look at this show ready and turn-key ready FJ40.
