For Sale: 1940 Ford Sedan in Columbus, Ohio

Vehicle Description

Cruisin Classics is proud to present this spectacular 1940 Ford Slant-Back Sedan. Dressed in slick black paint and lots of beautiful chrome, this Ford is a treat for the eyes! The front and back bumpers are both in excellent condition and feature "elephant ear" trim ends. The front nose sports a beautiful chrome grill flanked by large headlight bezels. The rubber-covered running boards are also in great condition. Adding to the look are painted steel wheels with original style hubcaps and trim rings wrapped in fat white wall radial tires. The coolest feature of the exterior though are the rear suicide doors that lead to the spacious back seat! Under the hood you'll find a 350 small block Chevy mated to a 700 R4 automatic transmission - a fabulous cruisin' combination for any journey. As you peer at all of the chrome and polished aluminum under the hood you'll notice a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, an aftermarket A/C unit that blows nice and cold, a Mustang II front end with power rack and pinion steering, and headers leading back to glass-pack style mufflers ending in chrome tips that emit that classic hot rod sound. This Ford also features a 9" Ford rear axle and power disc brakes on all four corners. Open the drivers door to find an exceptionally well-done interior dressed in burgundy. There are late-model Ford power bucket seats with center console arm-rest in the front and a stock bench seat in the rear - all re-upholstered in vinyl and the fronts re-contoured to remove the headrests for a more period look. Other interior features include a tilt steering column with the leather-wrapped steering wheel, period gauges on the dash, power windows, nice quality burgundy carpet, a tight vinyl headliner, seat belts in the front and back, heat and defrost, pop-out rear side windows, and a Retro-sound style AM/FM stereo with a 10 disc CD changer hidden in the finished trunk. This Ford is just perfect for a comfortable cruise for a short trip across town or a long road trip and is sure to grab attention wherever it goes! Please give our friendly staff a call with any questions about this very well done ride.
