1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS 396
Car History
The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet
dealerships in September 1966 for the 1967 model year on a
brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and had almost 80
factory and 40 dealer options, including three main packages that
were available, the RS, the SS and the Z/28.
We have a great looking red 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS 396 here at
Adventure Classics that has a lot of originality and freshened
parts, a 1969 big block 396 engine, a 4-speed transmission, nice
black interior, and now runs and drives better than it did in the
late 60's.
It even has the rare Rally Sport Option with the Hide-Away Head
Light package.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Camaro has a 1969 396 cubic inch engine living under the hood
wearing Chevy Orange paint on the block and heads, polished
aluminum Chevrolet Racing valve covers, open element air cleaner
with the chrome lid and 396-375 Horse decal, Edelbrock aluminum
intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor under the cowl induction hood,
long-tube headers, dual exhaust system, MSD electronics, Power
Brakes, and the engine sits in a very clean, correct, factory
looking engine compartment as it was new.
It is backed by a 4-speed transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with
traction bars and the chassis that looks as clean as the rest of
the Camaro.
The upgraded suspension has a dual exhaust system exiting out the
rear and it rides on factory Chevrolet Rallye Wheels with chrome
trim rings and center caps and raised white-letter Firehawk Indy
500 performance tires that complete the look.
Interior
Our 1967 Camaro has an awesome factory look with its factory
correct black bucket seats with white pipping interior, matching
rear seat, center console that has clear gauges and an auxiliary
clock on the console with a 4-speed manual gearbox that uses a
chrome Hurst shifter with a white cue ball knob.
It also has the correct black door panels, pushbutton radio system,
three-spoke factory Chevrolet SS sport steering wheel, headliner,
and carpeting to have a fresh and correct OEM appearance.
Exterior
Bright red paint sure looks right on our 1967 with the RS/SS front
end housing the hide-away headlights, cowl induction hood, rear
spoiler, and the black Bumblebee front stripe adds to the overall
look, especially with the bright chrome bumpers.
Of course, the blacked-out Rally Sport grille with hidden
headlights is an icon of the first generation Camaros. Our Camaro
is one that everyone will love, and you will love it even more with
all the performance that the big block under the hood and the rest
of the running gear to back up the looks.
Conclusion
This super red painted 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS 396 we have here

and has the right look.
It will be hard for you to find one 1967 Camaro as nice as this one
