Under the watchful eye of the 2nd owner since 1972, this is an as original numbers matching example of which only 78 similar cars were built, according to the Oldsmobile History Center. The rare and desirable combination is a 1971 442 Convertible with the W30 Performance Package and automatic transmission. It has its original 455 cubic inch Rocket V8 with the H heads, stamped aluminum intake and the W30 Ram Air air cleaner and dual-scooped fiberglass hood. The rugged Turbo 400 automatic transmission takes its cues from the legendary Hurst Dual-Gate shifter mounted in the center console. Power is transmitted to an Anti-Spin rear axle with a W27 aluminum cover. It wears its original Ebony Black color with tasteful white stripes and 442 badging. A power convertible top opens to reveal a black vinyl interior with bucket seats. Other desirable equipment includes factory Four Season Air Conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, cruise control, Tilt-Away steering, sport steering wheel, and the iconic Super Stock II wheels with trim rings. Goodyear Eagle white letter radials provide the ride and handling with a vintage look.
