Vehicle Description
This is the kind of truck you get to enjoy today and watch the
admiration rapidly appreciate. That's because this 1991 Ford F-150
XLT Lariat is a loaded two-owner and low-mileage pickup that has
been given plenty of the right investments to make sure it remains
a sharp-looking two-tone V8 cruiser.
We saw plenty of these F-150s on the road 30 years ago. The
tough-guy square styling really resonated with pickup people. The
problem is that today there are not too many of these icons around
that haven't seen a hard life. However, this is a two-owner truck
that shows it was really given the right respect. The body panels
retain their crisp style where you can clearly see the truck's
full-length crease. And the premium XLT Lariat trim package gives
you nice brightwork with the chrome bumpers, bright tailgate
insert, and full-length trim. Plus, the factory-correct Medium
Scarlet and Pawnee Tan have a nice gloss of a more recent respray.
And features like the towing mirrors, trailer hitch, and useful
long bed mean this classic still knows how to get to work when you
want.
Inside is Ford's upscale XLT Lariat interior. It includes features
like red velour on the seats for comfort, and some wood-like trim
on the dash to give it a more luxurious feel. It appears to be all
original, and so you will find a few wear spots, but overall, this
impresses with its clean and complete style. There's a fold-down
center armrest so you can decide if you want to carry two friends
or have a more individual level of comfort. Regardless of how many
people are inside, this is quite a luxurious experience. Power
windows, power locks, and the factory AM/FM/cassette make this a
great modern classic. The original factory steering wheel gives a
clear view of the full set of factory gauges, including optional
tach. The air conditioning is blowing nice and cold... but we
really know your favorite breezes will be the ones created when you
open the side vent windows and slide the rear glass. It's all part
of the vintage truck experience.
Under the hood is the fuel-injected 5.8-liter V8. This was the
larger optional motor, so it gives you better acceleration on the
streets and extra power to get the job done. This came from the
factory with modern electronic fuel injection, so it's a
well-maintained package that starts readily, idles smoothly, and
runs strong. Power steering, power brakes with discs up front, and
modern tires make it quite a comfortable cruiser. Plus, the
four-speed automatic transmission has highway-friendly overdrive.
Add in the cruise control and dual fuel tanks, and this one really
loves to go the extra mile.
As impressive of a cruiser this is, it has averaged less than 1,900
miles in its life thus far. So a loaded and preserved truck like
this is a special find. That's why you can't let it slip away. Call
