Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Nova SS is a fresh and full build that's all
about maximizing style and performance. It's a real-deal Super
Sport hardtop with a vibrant red style. But what really tells you
about the updated speed machine are the air grabbers peeking out.
They hint at the upgrades within like the dual-quad V8, five-speed,
upgraded suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Viper Red is a bright color that makes the right first impression.
It's a product of investment in a modern professional paint
application. There are only about 2,700 miles since restoration,
and the clearcoat luster looks impressive from every angle. It was
even given a ceramic coating to make that deep shine stay durable.
What also makes the paint look extraordinary is how smoothly it
flows over the body, and that means they paid attention to getting
the sheet metal straight. Bright chrome bumpers, a clean grille,
special rocker trim, and doors that close with confidence are all
part of a thoughtful total style. As good as this looks, no one
will ever call this a "nice" car. That's just because it looks so
mean. Weld Racing wheels, a sporty stance, extra-large rear tires,
and air grabbers popping out of the hood give this an intimidating
style.
Black interiors always look stylish against red exteriors. You will
instantly recognize the difference a well-done total package makes
with a deep dark look on the upholstery, headliner, door panels,
and dash. Plus, it's a better driver's machine with the upgraded
sports steering wheel, billet pedals, and a Dakota Digital Gauge
panel featuring a large speedo and tach. And have you counted the
gears on the Hurst shifter yet?
The engine bay is built for both show and go. It's attractive with
smooth inner walls, tidy components, and plenty of polished
components. The VIN tells us this was born a true Super Sport, but
since that was a six-cylinder version they decided to give this an
awesome V8 upgrade. This is a 350 cubic-inch small block with a
bored .10 over kit. It's further fortified and enhanced with Chevy
double-hump 462 angle plug heads, Weiand intake, and a dual set of
Quick Fuel 600 four-barrel carburetors. And a nice set of Dougs
Tri-Y long tube headers let this mighty motor exhale with serious
power into the X-pipe dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. It's
also supported by the right components like an aluminum radiator,
an electric fan, and an MSD distributor. You get full control over
the power and its soundtrack with a Tremec five-speed manual
transmission upgrade that also includes a Ram clutch and pressure
plate with hydraulic throw-out bearing. This feeds into a strong
Ford 9-inch rear with 4.11 gears for quick take-offs. As you look
underneath, you'll spot a clean setup that shows more upgrades like
the newer Moog front end components, Cal Trac rear traction bars,
and four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with build receipts, this is a real-deal Super Sport Nova
modified to be a terrific street machine. So don't miss out on this
