For Sale: 1965 Volkswagen Beetle in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1965 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CONVERTIBLE, FULLY RESTORED TX CAR, READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!

This Ruby Red '65 Beetle Convertible received a very high quality, professional restoration in 2014 and still looks amazing. Believed to have spent most, if not all, its life in Texas. The previous owner treated this beauty to a professional restoration that is well documented with a binder full of receipts.  It was done to a very high level and then was driven about 6000 miles after the restoration before the owner became ill and passed away.  I purchased it from a friend of the family. These early VW Beetles are quickly appreciating in value and popularity and this is a great example of nicely restored, investment quality classic Beetle that you can drive and enjoy!  If you have been searching for one, this is definitely one you do not want to miss out on.

I will do my best to provide enough images, a video walk around and start up and an honest description to help you decide if this Ruby Red Beauty should be in your garage. I am also a transport broker and can get you a great rate on Enclosed Transport and I also welcome overseas buyers. Sit back and enjoy!

Paint and body on this '65 are fantastic and hard to believe the restoration is 8 yrs old as it still looks very fresh. Finished in Ruby Red, the body is extremely straight and solid with no evidence of rust. Having lived in Texas I am quite certain this was a very solid original car to start out. It is clear from the detailed restoration records that no expense was spared to bring this car to the beauty you will see in the pics. All chrome and trim was replaced or restored and looks close to new. All new glass and weatherstripping throughout. Great attention to detail and some nice features like the headlight grilles, exhaust tip covers, mud flaps, etc really add to the beauty and authenticity. Doors fit great and open and shit great. Windows all work well.  Other than a few minor flaws in the paint it truly is in exceptional condition. Thiis Beetle will be welcome at any show or cruise in and will surely win its share of trophies if that is what you enjoy.

Hopefully the new owner will enjoy this baby with the top down but of course it also has a brand new white convertible top professionally installed with glass rear window and a matching white boot cover with red piping for a crisp, finished look when the top is down.

Complimenting the beautiful Ruby Red Exterior is an equally impressive Pearl White interior that has also been completely restored and looks close to new. This includes door panels, seat covers and new foam, carpeting, visors, door handles and window cranks and pretty much everything. An original style steering wheel was added at time of restoration and a replacement stereo is in the dash but does not seem to be working. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals are working.  Nice set of coco mats and wire bask cup holder finish off the interior nicely. Near flawless is the best way to describe the interior!

At this point you might be wondering if she drives as good as she looks....the answer is YES!!! This '65 was restored to be driven and enjoyed, not trailered. "Under the engine lid is a completely rebuilt 1600 cc dual port motor that probably has twice the horsepower of the original 1200cc 40 hp motor. Manual 4-speed transmission shifts like butter and this Beetle is a joy to drive!  Brakes were completely gone through and rebuilt and stop great. Handling is nice and tight, well 1965 tight if you know what I mean. She is riding on a beautiful new set of Chrome wheels wrapped in great looking set of Whitewall Radials and adorned with chrome VW emblem hub caps...classic look top to bottom!! Working was all redone and upgraded to 12 volt. Front trunk has been nicely finished and there is locking hood handle under the dash. Matching spare mounted in the trunk. Original floorpan looks fantastic and is rock solid and nicely detailed.  This Beetle is ready to cruise but leave plenty of time to wave at the fans and talk about it wherever you go.
