This 1964 Jaguar E-type Roadster was completed at the factory on
October 24, 1963. It is a left-hand-drive US model (XKE) that was
originally finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with a dark Blue
interior with light blue piping and a blue soft top. It was
recently acquired by European Collectibles from a longterm owner in
Kentucky. At some point in its life, it was repainted Opalescent
Maroon and re-trimmed in black. The paintwork looks good from five
feet, but on close inspection it is showing its age with no
shortage of paint swirls and door dings. The interior is
presentable and comfortable, but not without flaws. The engine runs
very well and the gearbox is quite smooth. This is a very solid car
that is a fun driver as it sits and can later be improved or fully
restored back to its elegant original color scheme.
