We will start off with the exterior of this Caprice. The body on it
is one of the most solid we've ever seen. It's laid out in the
factory Black paint that has been impressively cared for. They made
sure to keep it polished to a gorgeous finish that really does a
great job of showcasing how straight it is. We can see all the
panel fit is excellent along with all the gaps being even and
symmetrical. The black paint is accented by the Landau Top that
looks like it never came off the show room floor. Up front the
grill is like new and the bumper has a brilliant finish. The hood
ornament is still beautiful just like the rest of the emblems. Out
back the rear bumper is equally impressive along with all the
taillights. The filler section shows some age but overall it's in
great condition. Every piece of glass in this Chevy looks amazing
along with the seals and the weather stripping. To finish off the
stance it's sitting on the factory style steel wheels with the
Landau Centers and White Line Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '79. On the inside you
are sure to be just impressed, as it all looks like it could still
be on the showroom floor. The factory red is the perfect compliment
to the exterior color combo and all we can say is wow. Aside from
the light color loss in the plastic pieces you will be hard pressed
to find anything you don't love about it. It features the front and
rear bench seats that not only look amazing, but all the padding
and springs is equally impressive. The door panels are all in great
condition and it has the standard windows that go up and down with
ease. Looking at the dash you'll notice that the pad looks like
it's barely ever seen sunlight. All the woodgrain accents are just
as nice as the day they were knew, and it has the factory steering
wheel. It looks to have the factory carpet that shows some
discoloration and the headliner looks amazing. Inside the trunk is
all rock solid from the jams to the pan. It's detailed out with a
trunk mat and the factory spare.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood tales the tale of this '79. You can see it looks like it's
barely seen the highway as everything is clean as a pin. It's
powered by the factory 350 V8 Engine with the DRA Suffix Code. The
inner fenders and firewall are just as slick as the day it come out
of the factory. The 350 is dressed just like it would have been
when new with the factory air cleaner and valve covers. It comes
set up with Power Steering along with Power Brakes Disc on the
Front and Drums out back. The 350 V8 is mated to the 350 Automatic
Transmission that goes our back to the original 10 Bolt Rear End.
For exhaust it has manifolds with the single pipe and muffler that
exits out the back. When you look under this Caprice, you're sure
to be impressed as all of the floor pans are rock solid along with
frame. It shows no signs of abuse or neglect. All the suspension is
in great condition as well. On the highway it runs out phenomenal
and handles with ease. The transmission shifts through the gears
smooth and it stops true.
