Vehicle Description
This 1973 Ford F-100 Custom is a terrific nostalgia-filled classic.
It was long-term first owned by one family, and so there is an
impressive stock style and terrific paperwork. And while this has
even aged correctly in some places, there have also been the right
investments to make sure this is a comfortable cruising
classic.
You know you just love the old-school survivor style of this truck.
It has a pure stock look everywhere from the iconic grille to the
vintage dog dish hubcaps. And the body panels look well-resected,
right down to the full-length trim that looks like an almost
unbroken line. The consignor bought this pickup from the original
owner's daughter. So long-term care under its first family means
everything from the mileage to the motor is believed to be original
to the truck. There are a few details that have been updated over
the years, but nothing ever looks out of place. For example, the
factory-correct Candyapple Red was resprayed later in life, but it
has the single-stage look and the right aging that most people will
just assume it's original.
The bright red is joined by a classic black inside, and this
interior continues the stock look with subtle upgrades. For
example, the bench seat has a fresh cover. It makes for a factory
look while still providing the right comfort. There's also a clean
look to the door panels, dash pad, and durable rubber floor. The
dual-spoke steering wheel has a great classic grip; the Philco AM
radio is still there for a display; and warms you up on the days
you get to cars & coffee at dawn. So this classic long bed pickup
has transitioned from a respected workhorse to a cool classic
cruiser.
The bright blue motor under the hood is the correct 360 cubic-inch
V8. There's a terrific stock style, right down to the factory decal
still on the valve cover. The jack is even still mounted to the
inner fender. But as you look all of this over, you can also spot
solid maintenance investments. It includes newer pieces like the
distributor, plugs, wires, hoses, belt, and radiator. It makes for
a strong-running V8 that you take full control over in the
old-school way with the column-mounted three-speed manual
transmission. And features like good cruising tires, newer brake
lines, and front discs make this fun on the road.
The sale comes with an impressive history file that includes the
factory buildsheet, original bill of sale, warranty card, owner's
manual, previous registrations, and maintenance records. This is
the true classic pickup for those who want the genuine vintage
truck feel. Call today!!!
