The 7th Gen Buick Riviera was built on the GM 'E-platform' design for personal luxury cars that utilized unibody construction and front-wheel drive. This all-original Riviera coupe is an exception example of this model and appears to have led a pampered, garage kept life-style with only 51,000 miles showing on the odometer. (This mileage is not documented, but certainly may be correct.) The factory Riviera Black finish looks very much like it did in 1989 as does the beautiful tan leather interior - the power-assisted seats are unbelievably comfortable. The Riviera also has a lengthy list of standard equipment including A/C, power tinted windows, tilt wheel, power locks/trunk, keyless entry, cruise and premium AM/FM/Cassette sound system. Horsepower is furnished by a transverse-mounted GM 3.8L V6 that was a mainstay of the Buick lineup for many years. This generation of the Riviera is equipped with power rack/pinion steering, 4-wheel power ABS disc brakes and Buick's "Dynaride" air-suspension system that provides compressed air to the rear Chapman Struts in order to maintain an overall level ride-height.
