1954, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a grand touring sports car that
credits its history to Mercedes's racing history. Initially, the
first 300 SL was a racing sports car built in 1952 with no
intention of developing into a street version. It wasn't until
1954, when American importer Max Hoffman suggested that a street
version of the 300 SL be created for the wealthy performance car
enthusiasts in the U.S., where the market for personal luxury
vehicles was booming, that the SL-Class started taking shape and
footing. Displayed here is a supreme example of a classic German
roadster. Painted in a bright silver exterior paint and minimal
chrome accents, this Mercedes presents very well for its age. The
bright silver paint shows nicely. The bright silver AMG wheels
shine with just the right amount of luster to perfectly compliment

5.0L V8 paired with an automatic transmission which shows 67k miles
on the odometer. The interior cabin is balanced with a gray
interior complete with power adjustable leather buckets for both
driver and passenger. The driver controls are subtle and are
situated concisely within the main center console. Although this
true roadster does not have a rear seat, it does provide ample
storage capacity within the cabin and within the rear trunk. The
only point of contention might be some slight marring on the
driver's door panel which appears to be a result of use and age. In
conclusion, if you are looking for a quaint luxury roadster look no
further than this finely engineered German example. It might be the
super sexy or tech filled vehicle you will find rolling off the
Mercedes dealership lot, but this roadster still has a lot of
