Refurbishment Records This 1969 Jaguar E-Type/XKE is a Series II
fixed-head coupe in Signal Red purchased by the current owner from
a seller who had recently acquired a lot of Jaguars from a widow.
The odometer reads 63,456 miles, which is assumed to be original
based on the engine's condition. This vehicle is a 'scruffy' driver
or a driving project car for others. Per the Jaguar Daimler
Heritage Trust, 1,047 LHD E-Type Series 2 produced in Signal Red,
of which 202 fixed head coupe were dispatched to the USA; the total
is 807, of which there were 153 fixed head coupe. According to
historical books, only 577 LHD FHCs left the factory with the 'P'
(power steering prefix). These facts, as mentioned earlier, add to
the rarity of this gem of a car. The car has a four-speed manual
transmission, a dual exhaust system, chrome 15? wire wheels, power
steering, air conditioning, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and an
aftermarket AM/FM cassette radio. It appears to have been subjected
to a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment circa Summer/Fall 2000
after finding OSJI markings on the door panels dated 09/14/2000. In
August 2022, service and repairs included replacing the clutch
master cylinder, clutch hose, master-slave, battery, tires, cooling
system hoses, alternator belt, fluid flush, and refill. Also, in
April 2019, East Coast Jaguar, Inc. (Wilmington, DE) completed
extensive maintenance and repairs. This E-Type/XKE coupe is now
offered with an owner's manual, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust
certificate, service records, and more.
