1970 Oldsmobile 442 Absolutely great looking 442 tribute in red
with a black interior. This car is in beautiful shape overall. The
paint is excellent along with the chrome. The interior overall is
good, shows some wear that you can see in the pics. These cars
represented some of the highest performing cars Oldsmobile ever put
our and most consider that 1970 was the pinnacle of performance
from Oldsmobile. In order to keep up in the horsepower arms-race,
General Motors dropped the cap on engine size in 1970, and
Oldsmobile responded by making the Olds 455 V8 the standard 4-4-2
engine. Output was 365 hp (272 kW) and 500 lbft (680 Nm), with a
370 hp (276 kW) variant available with the W30 option. The 1970
model year can be identified by its vertical bars in silver grille,
rectangular parking lights in front bumper, and vertical tail
lights. The revised body style and increased performance resulted
in the 4-4-2 being awarded pace car duties at the Indianapolis 500
race in 1970. Take a look at the pics and video and you can see how
great of a car this is. It starts, runs and drives great as well.
