This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has a bold look, the right upgrades
for a solid driver, and numbers-matching V8 power. That makes it an
all-around impressive classic that's ideal for being seen out on
the open road.
The Burnt Orange paint is a thoughtful upgrade that gets this coupe
noticed. It still keeps the right earthy 1970s kind of tone, but
now you have a modern shine with the right kind of gloss for
distinction. It makes for a great way to showcase the crisp Z/28
stripes. The two-tone gold package does an ideal job of showing off
the Z-car's sporty details, like the long hood scoop trim,
wraparound chin spoiler, and three-piece rear spoiler. And the
black Z/28 lettering goes well with the blackout grille, bezels,
and rear panel. It all feels like they invested in this coupe with
an eye for keeping it quite vintage. Even those American Racing
Torq Thrust wheels have a classic style. But the larger 18-inch
size lets you fit better modern tires.
The factory-correct tan interior makes for a timelessly attractive
look against the exterior orange. The clean look of the upholstery,
dash, and other fundamentals show there has been the right mix of
care and investments. There are some nice desirable factory
features, like cruise control, an armrest center console, and
high-back bucket seats with velour inserts. Plus, there are also
upgrades for a solid cruiser, like an AM/FM/CD stereo, modern
speakers, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again.) Best of all, this Camaro remains a
great driver. There's a corded NK4 sports steering wheel, tilt
column, and full gauge package with large speedo and tach.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It looks
stock and maintained, which equals a strong-running original
powerhouse. The V8 inhales deeply with a stock- Quadrajet
four-barrel carburetor, and the upgraded long tube headers let this
exhale with added power and rumble into the dual exhaust. This good
power also comes with easy enjoyment thanks to power steering,
power brake, front discs up front, a three-speed automatic
transmission, rear sway bar, and upgraded ZR-rated tires.
The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet and maintenance
records. This has the style, substance, and price you want, so you
know it's the shining classic Z-car you can't let get away. Call
