This 1985 Chevrolet C10 Silverado is a very cool kind of classic.
It has the genuine patina look we all love. And they also took the
time to make it a true cruiser with an upgraded crate V8, an
overdrive transmission, and cold-blowing A/C.
This Silverado has a genuine style where the Midnight Blue has
matured into a true patina. And for many of us, this useful truck
look is better than any candy-coated classic out there. A few marks
in the bed, incomplete trim, and older blue pinstriping add
character that hide a clean and complete body. So while this is
also a good start for a restoration, we like how this Chevy already
has a look of respect that has been earned over decades. Plus, few
people will mistake it for stock because there are the right hints
of the upgraded machine within. You may spot the dual exhaust tips
or shine of the bumpers. And the 20-inch alloys certainly give it
an upgraded appearance. So you know it's a cool cruiser, but just
how solid a driver this patina is may surprise many.
The interior continues the appearance of stock and aged and also
updated to stay useful and attractive. The best Silverados came
loaded from the factory, and this one still has the best with power
windows, power locks, a sliding rear window, and a Delco
AM/FM/cassette stereo. There's a tilt steering column to give you a
good view of the wraparound gauge panel. So you can spot all the
readouts, including the rarely-seen working factory clock. And the
updated R134a air conditioning system lets you know this true
classic is truly made for modern cruising comfort.
Under the hood is a fresher 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It has been
upgraded with an Edelbrock suite that includes finned valve covers,
a four-barrel carburetor, and an Air Gap intake. It fires up
eagerly, and the headers add power while giving a nice tune to the
dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. Power steering, power brakes,
front discs, and modern sport tires make for a solid cruiser. Plus,
you have cruise control and a four-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive to give this classic even appeal for highway road
trips.
The sale comes complete with nice paperwork like the original bill
of sale, warranty card, owner's manual, and build receipts. There
are even spare components, too. It's all about a truck that shows
its history while also being fun for modern times. Call
