Vehicle Description
Looking for a cool piece of Americana that'll turn heads anywhere
it goes? If you're in the market for some vintage metal that's
stylish, powerful and has lots of history, who says you have to buy
a stuffy, high maintenance trailer queen? Just pick up the phone,
call your friends at RK Motors and we'll hook you up with a great
car like this awesome Chevelle resto-mod! Combining 572 cubic
inches of proven Chevy big block with a stout 6-speed drivetrain
and striking gray and silver aesthetics, this gruff ground-pounder
draws big crowds and big compliments. And if you're one of the many
enthusiasts looking for a fun classic that's unrelentingly cool,
it's your ticket to car guy nirvana!
SAME STYLE, NEW SUIT
The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that wrapped a
fully stripped body in slick Daytona Gray Metallic two-stage, this
razor-sharp resto-mod runs well and shows great! At the front of
its gloss, a bright Malibu grille centers a modern, monochromatic
"SS" emblem between modern headlights, painted extensions and a
filled and painted bumper. Behind that grille, a shaved header
leads a chrome-trimmed Super Sport hood, which creeps toward a
tinted greenhouse that's caged in Satin Black stainless. At the
sides of that hood, a muscular profile has been shaved of
everything but modern mirrors and Satin Black door handles.
Opposite those pulls, a "C H E V E L L E" branded valance hangs
trick taillights above a second painted bumper that's threaded by
flush exhaust outlets. And everything gets lit by Metallic Silver
Rally Stripes that are edged in precise Gloss Black pinstripes.
BIG BLOCK BLISS
Few cars fit the 'muscle car' description better than a Chevelle.
Clocking in at exactly 572 cubic inches, this coupe's rowdy
Chevrolet Performance Connect and Cruise ZZ572 twists a hearty 620
horsepower into 650 lb./ft. of tire torching torque! At the top of
that legendary mill, twin Spectre cones cap polished tubes, which
drop breeze through a coated Holley 4-barrel and a single-plane
Chevrolet Performance intake. That intake floods aluminum Chevrolet
Performance heads, which tilt milled and polished valve covers
between stainless valves, roller rockers, a polished breather and
requisite rectangular ports. A hydraulic roller cam plays well with
forged pistons, a forged 4340 crank, and forged and shot peened
H-beam rods. 9.6 to 1 compression gets sparked by loomed Taylor
plug wires and a hot HEI distributor. Billet serpentine components
spin a polished water pump between a polished alternator and a
polished AC compressor. Big electric puller fans back a big
aluminum radiator. Exhaust rolls through coated Doug's headers. And
the car's smoothed, Charcoal Metallic engine bay is dotted with
choice detailing like polished tanks, sleeved lines, trick
dipsticks, a body-matched brake booster and a custom hood
plate.
BUILT TO CRUISE
Bottom-side, the monster mill kicks a tough hydraulic clutch, which
kicks a tough Chevrolet Performance Connect and Cruise Tremec T56
Super Magnum 6-speed. That proven drivetrain rides a triangulated
4-link rear-clip, which mixes tubular, Charcoal Gray arms with
Charcoal Gray shocks and Charcoal Gray springs. A factory
front-clip has been thoughtfully upgraded with a beefy, Charcoal
Gray sway bar. That suspension gets led by traditional power
steering. Stops are provided by power-assisted discs and drums.
Large-diameter pipes breathe through throaty Flowmaster mufflers.
And at the corners of the car, attractive American Racing VN430s
spin 235/40R18 Continental ContiProContacts in front of 275/45R18
Continental ContiProContacts.
SAME FUN, NEW STYLE
This Chevelle's thorough restoration included the installation of a
thoughtfully customized interior that's highly functional and
reliably timeless! A monochromatic roll bar traces firm SCAT Procar
buckets, which wrap reclining frames in modern, three-point
harnesses. A tidy console looks great behind a short Hurst shifter.
A padded and painted dash hangs slick AutoMeter Phantom telemetry
next to modern, direct-fit audio and controls for Vintage Air
conditioning. Fade-free side panels parallel fade-free carpet. A
modern rearview mirror integrates a crisp rearview camera. And the
driver spins a monochromatic steering wheel around a painted tilt
column.
Simply put, this big block Chevelle is some of the coolest metal on
the planet! As it sits, the car offers the best of both worlds: a
solid cruiser, and a unique classic that sets itself apart from
virtual acres of brightly colored pony cars and overwrought land
yachts. Call your friends at http://www.RKMotors.com to schedule
some seat time!
