Vehicle Description
Toyota's FJ Cruiser was not only made to look like the classic FJ
Land Cruisers, but they were also given the right off-road
equipment to be the kind of capable 4x4s to properly live up to the
go-anywhere style. So this is the exact right base to create a
modern overlander custom.
The black paint has a glossy style that shows good lines for the
retro-cool body. So while this one has been off the pavement, it
also wasn't just some rough-and-tumble tool. Another reason why it
can continue to look so attractive is that most of the plastic
components, which were already designed to take abuse, have been
reinforced with liner paint. The roof was also done in liner paint.
It makes for a cool gloss and matte two-tone style contrast. But
the real reason is that you'll also spend extra time up there with
the full roof rack and 23 Zero roof tent. Rocksliders, a rear
trailer hitch, and 17-inch Raceline wheels complete this dark and
useful upgraded package. It's a full blackout style where the only
bright spots are the ones doing a better job of showing you the
way. This includes the LED roof light bar and clear LED tail
lights. So while this one is upgraded to be one with nature, we bet
there are some of you urban adventurers that just love this for its
midnight attitude.
The large front doors reveal how the front of the interior stays
stock and loaded so that this one is comfortable on the street or
trail. This means high-back bucket seats, cold-blowing air
conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control, a backup
camera, and an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo with aux input for your iPod. And
while Toyota would give you a compass and inclinometer on the dash
just to make most owners feel like adventurers, you're probably
really going to use them on this FJ. Overland camping is all about
finding your own path and setting up camp where you please. So the
rear section is specially set up for this kind of adventure. Gone
are the rear seats. In its place is a custom cabinet built for life
off the grid. It includes a solar panel, battery, and an inverter.
And the storage drawers make for a nice way to set up a camp
kitchen. There are even airbags on the rear suspension to help with
any added weight.
Under the hood is a correct and hardy 4.0-liter V6. It's an ideal
powerhouse that comes from a long line of robust powerplants, but
this is also so modern that it's still in use today. It has fuel
injection, DOHC, and variable valve timing to deliver good
acceleration around town. Plus, the big torque gets you through the
rough terrain. And speaking of off-road, the two-speed transfer
case gives you true go-anywhere 4x4 ability. This even has Toyota's
rear diff lock and active traction control - so it lives up to the
legendary go-anywhere reputation of this FJ's namesake. This
feeling is enhanced with a two-inch suspension lift, Bilstein
shocks, and Falken Wildpeak tires. But even if you were going to
use this off-roader as a commuter, it delivers a comfortable and
controlled feeling on the road thanks to power steering, four-wheel
power disc brakes, and a six-speed manual transmission.
This FJ Cruiser was upgraded to take you further and let you stay
out longer. It also happens to be a modern 4x4 with all the best
amenities. So you know you want it to fit your full adventurous
lifestyle. Call today!!!
