1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Car History
Some of the meanest and most revered muscle cars to ever come out
of the Chevrolet Motor Division in the 60s and 70s were the SS
Chevelles.
The 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS we have at Adventure Classics is
what everyone wishes you could have ordered new in 1971, or today
for that matter, and it even has just over 12k original miles on
it..
It is the very essence of a muscle car with its silver paint
scheme, cowl hood, black vinyl top, black SS stripes, black bucket
seat interior, and a potent small block Chevy engine.
Engine & Drivetrain
Let's start off with the 350 cubic inch small block Chevrolet that
has been dropped into the engine bay. It has a chromed aluminum
intake, performance Holley 4-barrel carb, tubular performance
exhaust headers, chrome open element air cleaner, chrome Chevrolet
Bowtie logo valve covers, power brakes with discs up front, power
steering, aluminum radiator, chrome fan shroud, with it sitting in
a very clean and detailed engine compartment.
The engine is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission with
the power on the way back to the 12-bolt rear end as it goes to the
ground via the polished and chrome 5-spoke mag wheels with fat
black sidewall performance tires and great sounds coming out the
dual exhaust via the chrome rear exhaust tips.
Interior
The like new interior has twin black front bucket seats with
headrests, matching rear seat and seat belts, black door panels,
factory dash with stock gauges as well as a chrome console mounted
tachometer and aftermarket accessory gauges under the dash.
It also has black Chevelle floor mats, black carpet, push button
radio system, black steering wheel, center console with the
trademark shifter, and all looking very stock appearing.
Exterior
Our 1971 Chevelle has the silver paint scheme with a black vinyl
top that looks great. It has the SS look as we mentioned earlier on
its great styling that includes the classic Chevelle theme with
large single-unit headlights, blacked-out grille, chrome front and
rear bumpers, integral park/signal/marker lights, dual round
taillights, Cowl Induction hood, black stripes, and the SS emblems
really set it off too.
Conclusion
The 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS we have at Adventure Classics is
really a car to stop you in its tracks when you see and hear it
coming.
If you want a small block Chevelle SS that has very low miles,
killer looking engine and compartment, great drivetrain and
wheel/tire combo, then this may be the right one for you.
