Vehicle Description
We don't have to mention that this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette
convertible has been given big investments over the factory
performance setup. After all, that big air scoop with a
supercharger underneath instantly commands all your attention. But
while you already know this is a street-eating powerful machine
with growling side pipes, it also has a bright exterior and comfy
interior to be an all-around appealing drop-top.
We'll get to the details on the big power motor in a moment, but
first, it's worth mentioning the allure of the full package that
surrounds it. The trim tag tells us this is wearing its
factory-correct Sunflower Yellow. This color was only available for
two years, and a later respray means this one remains vibrant. The
good gloss is ready to show off this Stingray's distinct lines...
and there's a ton of them. You have the factory pieces, like the
sharply pointed front end, crisp fender tops, and a hint of rear
spoiler. And because black looks terrific against yellow, this one
comes with both a black folding roof and a black removable hardtop.
And of course, there's the right brightwork. You have classic
pieces, like the bumpers and luggage rack. But what we know you'll
love are the performance-oriented additions, like the shotgun hood
scoops, polished Torq Thrust wheels, and header side pipes.
Because the black looks so good against the yellow, we especially
like the look of the full black interior. It's a proper driver's
setup with high-back bucket seats, a center console in-between, and
a grippy sports steering wheel. There are some nice details, like
the smooth dash, good carpeting, and real wood inserts in the
doors. You have room for improvement if you want to restore the
dials or add a modern stereo. But really, we already know you will
find the rumble of those side pipes and the whirl of the
supercharger an irresistible tune that's absolutely worth the price
of admission.
The power this one makes is so big that the hood can't contain it.
There was a solid investment in making this motor bright and tidy,
because after all, you know everyone's got to ask you to lift the
custom hood everywhere you park this Stingray. The base of this
power package is a 350 cubic-inch ZZ4 performance crate V8. We're
told this has been enlarged to 383ci and that the build only has
about 200 miles on it. While unverified, it certainly is a fresh
and powerful package. That's also because it has the best
performance pieces, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock E-force aluminum heads, and headers feeding the side
pipes. Plus the B&M 162 supercharger turns this into an awesome
powerhouse from the moment you twist the key. This also has the
right supporting components, like an MSD distributor, new spark
plugs, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The TH400
three-speed automatic transmission was built for big power. And
when you have this much power in an American muscle machine, you
expect it to be a wild child. But since this is a Corvette, you get
great features like the fully independent suspension and four-wheel
power disc brakes with new rotors and master cylinder. Plus,
there's power steering and wide BF Goodrich radials.
This is the one with speed and stance. So when a build is this
vibrant, unique, and mean, you know you need to hurry to grab this
deal. Call today!!!
