This 1963 Porsche 356B 1600S is a Karmann-bodied coupe that was initially delivered through Porsche Car Import Inc. of Northbrook, Illinois, and was acquired by the selling dealer in February 2022 reportedly from the family of the second owner in Long Beach, California. Work under current ownership is said to have included polishing the white paint, refreshing the red vinyl-trimmed interior, replacing the wheels and tires, and removing and resealing the engine. Equipment includes a left-side mirror, 15″ steel wheels, dual exhaust outlets, replacement square-weave carpet, manual crank windows, and a Carrera 2 steering wheel. This 356B is now offered with a copy of the Kardex and a clean California title.
The car was factory finished in black and was refinished in white under previous ownership. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with bumperettes, replacement weather insulation and trim pieces, a left-side mirror, clear headlight protectors, gold badging, a twin-grille engine lid, and dual exhaust outlets in the bumper. The car was polished in preparation for the sale.
Replacement 15″ steel wheels are finished in white with bright center caps and wrapped in Verdestein Sprint Classic tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel finned-aluminum drum brakes.
The cabin features bucket seats that were reupholstered in red vinyl along with a matching dash pad and door panels. Additional features include replacement tan and cream square-weave carpets protected by a rubber mat as well as manual crank windows and a locking glovebox.
