EXTERIOR: One of the best looking fastback designs of all time.
This one is further enhanced with spoilers, racing mirrors and
shaker hood. The body is clean and straight, no rust or damage.
Rare Indian Fire color. The metal flake is laid out evenly, clear
coat is polished very smooth and glossy. There are some nicks. It
has the blackout hood treatment and reflective stripes. Most of the
trim and chrome was replaced. New windshield. It hugs the road with
10 spoke 16x8 Shelby wheels with BFG G-Force tires.
INTERIOR: It's a deluxe interior which includes new molded door
panels. and high back seats. Sport seats and racing belts will hold
you in place as your hammering through the corners. It has the
optional fold down rear seat. Original console is in good shape.
Excellent dash pad with upgraded Dakota Digital gauges with a
tachometer. Complete painless wiring system. Nice carpet with sewn
in red mats. Headliner is in great shape, interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Genuine 428 Cobra Jet motor that has been
performance built. Now it's a 448 stroker, it has a Scat crank and
H- beam rods, Diamond forged pistons and rings, Comp solid roller
cam, lifters, and rockers. Blue Thunder aluminum 427 heads and
matched intake. Holley Sniper fuel injection, distributor,
ignition, and wires. Hooker Competition Plus headers. On top is a
functional shaker ram air system. It runs cool with an aluminum
water pump and radiator. Passengers are kept cool with a Classic
Auto Air heat and a/c system. Modern power steering with remote
reservoir and braided stainless hoses. Clean metal painted smooth,
it has a custom support bar.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. Custom
made carpeted flat trunk panel over the factory gas tank. Battery
is relocated to the trunk. It's a gel cell with a billet hold down
bracket. There is an access door to the interior. A car cover is
included.
UNDERSIDE: Custom suspension. The front is lowered and has Magnum
control arms, Koni adjustable shocks, a bigger sway bar, neoprene
bushings, Power rack & pinion steering system with a race series
power steering pump. A Total Control welded in cross frame
connector really keeps the body twist to a minimum. In back it has
Magnum springs, competition shackles, staggered Koni gas shocks,
bigger swaybar and neoprene bushings. Custom exhaust with
crossover-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and stainless quad tips. The
fuel tank was replaced. Custom 4 wheel Bear drilled disc brake
system, 13.5 inch in front and 12 in back. Cobra automotive air
ducts keep the front brakes cool. E-brake is hooked up. Looking up
at the motor it has an extra capacity oil pan and new starter. The
transmission was upgraded with a Tremec 600 5-speed, zero balance
flywheel, hydraulic clutch and new shift linkage. Custom steel
drive shaft connects to a Ford 9 inch rear with 3.50 traction lock
gears. The floors have been restored and are solid.
Conclusion: This Mach 1 is so much more than just a pretty face; it
is begging to be driven. It will accelerate hard, handle the curves
and stop when you need it. If all this excitement gets you in a
sweat no problem it has a new a/c system!
