Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 24th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Ford's Ranchero was the first
postwar coupe utility vehicle produced by a major American
manufacturer when it was unveiled for the 1957 model year. Ford of
Australia is credited with being the first to mate an automobile
chassis with a practical load bed in 1934, creating what they
lovingly refer to as the ute. The concept proved popular with
Americans as well, and by 1959 Chevrolet had joined the fray with
their similar El Camino. Our stunning 1957 Ranchero is a fine
example of the breed, but I wouldn't want to haul hogs in this
Honey! Pop the factory reverse tilt hood and you'll find a potent
Ford 390 V8 that's been fortified with a Holley carburetor, an
aluminum radiator with twin electric fans and shroud, and an Accel
coil. Additional features include power steering, front disc
brakes, air conditioning, 3-speed automatic transmission, dual
exhaust, striking pleated white interior, a Sony stereo, and
205/70R15 tires wrapped around American Racing alloy wheels. The
Pearl White and Dark Metallic Red paint was applied 20 years ago
but still dazzles in the sunlight. Prior to the paint an on frame
restoration included new rear quarter panels, glass, and body work,
rebuilt front suspension, and new shocks and brakes. Fat Man
dropped spindles were used in conjunction with a front disc brake
conversion. Documentation includes a photo journal of the
restoration and numerous receipts. This stunner really has to be
seen to be appreciated as the light dances over the Pearl and
constantly changes. If this classic crimson cruiser would look good
in your garage, call the team that can make your dream a reality.
