"Porsche designed the 356 with performance in mind. By refining the
engine from mid-rear to its eventual rear placement, and tweaking
design elements, the 356 was lighter and faster than many of its
contemporaries. As the 356 was further refined for performance, it
shared fewer parts with its sister car, the Volkswagen Beetle." -

This 1960 Porsche 356B 1600 Coupe finished in silver with red
interior is in very good overall condition as can be seen in the
accompanying photographs. Originally a California car the body and
underside of this Porsche has fared extremely well. The body was
painted approximately 20 years ago, although not in its original
color of Heron Gray the current Mercedes Benz silver selected
accents the body lines of this 356 and plays off well against the
red leather interior.
The numbers matching 1600 motor rebuilt by GN Engineering
approximately 12,000 miles ago runs smoothly and benefits from the
installation of dual Weber carburetors. The flat 4 motor is mated
to a numbers matching transmission according to the Porsche
Certificate of Authenticity. Owned by the same Porsche aficionado
since 2012 this 356 has been well maintained and driven, most
recently completing a 400-mile trouble free expedition. This 356B
is running on Vredestein Sprint Classic 165/15 tires on date
correct steel wheels.
The interior of this Porsche is void of any excessive wear and
presents very well. The interior has been upgraded in leather
employing the correct stitching pattern on the seats.
This 1960 Porsche 356B 1600 Coupe is a fantastic car for the
Porsche collector or the casual Porsche enthusiast to drive or
show.
