could find. Buy with confidence!!Up for sale is a beautiful 1961
Chevrolet Impala SS. This vehicle first started its life out being
built in St. Louis Missouri. From there the vehicle was then
shipped out to Minneola Texas where the first owner had purchased
the vehicle. From Texas the car was then moved to California to
begin its life with the second owner who owned the vehicle up until
2013 when the 3rd owner had purchased the vehicle and brought it up
to Buffalo NY to begin his 5-year project. In the new owners'
possession, the vehicle had undergone an entire transformation,
starting with the body of the vehicle where it was stripped
completely down to bare metal removing all trim and glass in the
process. The car was then repainted back into the original color
code of Roman red. Following the body all trim was then reworked to
its original form removing all dents or any imperfection it may
have had and rechromed to give it a new look. Under the hood of
this vehicle is a 348 cubic inch tri power Chevy, in 2014 the owner
had removed the motor and stripped it completely reusing nothing
but the block itself. New pistons connecting rods, and crank were
put into original block all after it was bored .40 over. This car
has a borg Werner t-10 4 speed transmission, which was completely
rebuilt during the same period as the motor. Transmission rebuild
included a new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. After these
were completed, the owner drove the vehicle for a few years before
going back and adding some finishing touches to this build. In 2020
the tri power carbs were sent all the way to Seattle Washington to
have a rebuild completed. While waiting on the carbs to be built a
new gm posi unit was placed into the car sporting a 3.70 gear
ratio. The original shifter was swapped out and fitted with a new
hurst shifter as well as linkage being replaced in the process. In
2022 the rear drums were rebuilt and front were swapped out to
power disc brakes to stop the newly fitted horsepower. The interior
had undergone a complete transformation putting in new carpet, and
all seats were reupholstered including the seat foam. There wasn't
an inch of this vehicle that hasn't been brought to showroom
condition by the owner and the photos will really show that. Every
step of this process was documented in a roughly 30-page binder
full of photos of every step of the way. All service receipts have
been kept with this vehicle throughout its life with a binder
separated by each individual owner since delivery in 1961. You will
not find a better documented vehicle. The service and documentation
speak for itself, this vehicle has been taken care of since it was
new! Original owner's manual and maintenance guides from 1961 will
be included with the sale of this vehicle...When you drive this
