1956 Ford F-100 Resto-Mod
Car History
The second-generation of the Ford F-Series trucks was produced by
Ford starting in 1953. The introduction of the F-Series marked the
divergence of Ford car and truck design, developing a chassis
intended specifically for truck use.
This 1956 Ford F100 we have here at Adventure Classics is a
restored truck that still has original good looks with a cool
stance, but with an upgraded lowered suspension as well as big
block 460 cubic inch Ford, and a custom interior to make it a
street-ready classic.
Engine & Drivetrain
When you pop the hood you know you are seeing a labor of love. It
does not have the original Ford powerplant but it has a big block
460 cubic inch engine. This is a strong-running engine backed up by
a 3-speed automatic transmission, and H.D. rear end while this
truck uses a Fat Man front end with tubular A-arms upfront, coil
Springs all the way around, disc brakes, air conditioning, power
windows with popper doors l on both sides.
Add in fat black sidewall performance tires on classy chrome custom
aftermarket wheels and you have a powerful package that gives you a
mix of vintage and performance for that great lowered stance.
Interior
Ours has a complete custom interior package including grey bucket
seats with a pull down armrest and center console, automatic
shifter on the floor, matching grey door panels, grey carpet, floor
mats, as well as a red dash has been redone to compliment the
original style but upgrade it with white faced accessory gauges,
JVC custom stereo radio system, tilt steering wheel assembly, power
windows, and controls for all the systems including the air
conditioning and heat.
So it is quite a comfy total setup and you will ride in a more
modern style with the comfort of a late model ride.
Exterior
Our 1956 Ford F-100 truck has a true vintage style that is always
fashionable. The great red paint looks great as it flows over the
hood, rounded cab, and step side bed that is all part of this
timeless classic appearance.
There is the addition of front bumper, rear painted roll pans,
running boards and steps, tonneau cover, a full wood bed, with the
look and raked stance giving it just the right street looks and
appeal.
