Extremely rare AMC Rambler Rebel SST convertible! 1 of only 1,686 made in 1967, only a handful remain. Originally a 290 V8 car, now has a 343 V8. Recently taken out of long term storage. The car had been sitting undriven in Lake Havasu Arizona for a very long time and was not drivable when I bought it. Western states car (eastern Washington and Arizona since 1992). Very clean car in nice condition. Over $5k in receipts for the mechanical work by an AMC restoration specialist which includes brakes, suspension, fuel system and electrical work. Tires and battery are new. Very desirable original color combo. Working power top. The canvas and rear window will need replacement. The paint is likely 30+ years old and is driver quality. The trunk and floor pans appear very solid. There is evidence of rust repair around the rear wheel wells and a few small bubbles in the rear quarters (see pictures). The positive of an old paint job is that any old rust issues become apparent over time. The negative is that the body work done 30+ years ago was not real high quality. The rest of the body appears very solid and rust free. The body is straight and dent and ding free and the chrome and glass are excellent. The seats are like new, the carpet was replaced and the door panels are in good shape. The drivers side interior door is missing the handle (it is in the trunk, just not installed). The dash has one large crack. This car is 100% ready to cruise and enjoy. True mileage is unknown. A very nice comfortable driving car. I am not representing this car to be a perfect show car but you will not find another remotely as nice for this price. It gets a lot of thumbs ups and waves when you drive it.
