Color Combination LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967
Jaguar XKE Roadster Jaguar was a well-respected builder of sporting
cars, most notably the highly successful XK series and the pre-war
SS Jaguars. But, everything changed in 1951.That was the year of
the first of Jaguar's victories at Le Mans, where the winning
C-Type was soon followed by the even more competitive D-Type, which
began to win in 1955. Over the space of about five years, the
automaker transformed from a small British boutique to one of the
most fearsome builders of serious race cars on the planet. Their
problem was that their passenger cars were a poor reflection of
their on-track prowess. Thus, they developed a new sports car
platform called the E-type. The new body would be offered in
roadster and coupe form. Despite influence from the C- and D-Types,
the E-Type was not designed in a wind tunnel. Instead, it was
sculpted with a combination of instinct and mathematical formulae,
both of which proved to be highly functional. Not only was the car
a popular hit from the moment it appeared, but later aerodynamic
studies and race track wins confirmed that it was right in every
regard In 1961, the E-type was initially powered by a 3.8-liter,
inline, six-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed, partially
synchromesh, manual transmission. In 1965, Jaguar upgraded the
engine to 4.2 liters and added a fully synchromesh, four-speed
manual, while also improving other aspects of the car, such as the
electrical and braking systems. These updates made the E-type
faster, more reliable and easier to drive. This E-Type roadster was
manufactured on April 24th, 1967, according to an accompanying copy
of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. Being a late
Series I model, it features the desirable 4.2-liter engine and
other improvements Jaguar bestowed upon the E-Type starting in
1965. Finished in the factory color of Dark Blue complemented by a
red leather interior and dark blue soft top this roadster looks
absolutely stunning. The E-Type will always be a classic automotive
design, one that electrified the world when new, and continues to
do so today. This example is beautifully restored in one of the
most attractive color combinations ready to be enjoyed! Additional
