Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is already a desirable classic for
the sporty look of the hidden headlight front end. And this one
uses it as a base for a classic filled with awesome features like a
cool color package, four-on-the-floor, and an awesomely upgraded
small block. It makes for a speedy classic with an irresistible
style.
Butternut Yellow is a great look to have on a classic like this.
The year-correct color is an upgrade later in life, and so it has a
nice balance of modern shine and a vintage feel. It goes well with
the shine of the chrome bumpers to deliver an attractive package
that's also very driver ready. And as you see the added power in
the engine bay (more on that in a moment) you'll understand how
much this car loves to hit the streets. The trim tag tells us this
is a real-deal Rally Sport with the hidden headlight front end. And
while unconfirmed for an SS, it also has been given the right Super
Sport features like the vented hood trim, SS badging, and a D80
rear spoiler. Plus, we love the way this has a cool dark side where
the RS blackout front pairs nicely with the chin spoiler, bumblebee
hood stripe, and rear Z/28-style racing stripes. The result is a
distinctive and sporty classic.
The black accents of the exterior also get you ready for the black
interior. There's a nice look with a smooth dash, good carpeting,
complete upholstery, and a clean headliner. You'll even appreciate
details like the working dome lights in the c-pillars. It's the
kind of space that you'll proudly share with family and friends,
especially because the full dark style shows less dirt. And there's
even an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input to entertain them all. Best
of all, there's a driver-oriented style with classic pieces like
front bucket seats, a center console, a grippy three-spoke sports
steering wheel, and a Muncie floor shifter. These are joined by
nice upgrades like the Sunpro auxiliary readouts and an AutoMeter
Phantom tach.
The motor has a distinct style where the yellow block paint and
polished components look even brighter sitting in the middle of the
dark engine bay. This V8 also earns its distinction from its added
power. It's a 355 cubic-inch block built with the right performance
components, like Pro Comp Aluminum Heads, an air-gap intake, and
topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. And long tube
headers add power and rumble to the H-pipe dual exhaust and
Flowmaster mufflers. You'll also spot nice supporting components
like the Optima battery and an HEI distributor. The Muncie
four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over this V8
power. Plus, you have power steering, power brakes, and front
discs. It all makes for quite a solid driving package that makes it
even more fun to own such a powerful Camaro.
