Vehicle Description
1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe
Well I'm not braggin' babe so don't put me down ..But I've got the
fastest set of wheels in town ..When something comes up to me he
don't even try ...,Cause if I had a set of wings man I know she
could fly ...She's my little deuce coupe ...You don't know what I
got...and truer words were never spoken!
For consignment a beautifully crafted, custom built Downs 3 window
coupe, chopped top, rolled rear pan, smoked glass, power doors,
power trunk, seamless black paint, custom interior, with the
obligatory moon caps and some contrasting green steel wheels. The
green is a hint of what is to come to bear under the hood...let's
just say a green meanie!
Exterior
A chopped top, rolled rear pan, smoked glass, smooth Rootlieb 3
piece hood, and a Dale's polished stainless grille. This is flanked
by Chromed Dietz headlights in halogen tri bar lamps. Exceptionally
super slick PPG triple black, that is definitely the deep end of
the paint pool, and it looks like glass with the exception of the 2
notable dings in the top of the hood. A chromed and polished
stainless TCI 4 inch dropped tube axle on a 4 bar hard bar and all
put there for all the world to see. Even the steering has a
polished stainless arm and tie rod, along with Wilwood polished
brakes. And lest we forget the frame a Downs tubular X member which
has been bobbed. 15 and 17 inch smoothie green wheels and polished
moon caps, are wrapped by near new rubber. Look ma!! NO FENDERS,
and it looks just fab! Shaved suicide doors, and a shaved trunk
lid, and we have a gorgeous build, and we haven't even visited the
best part!
Interior
Real tan leather expertly crafted by Paul Atkins on the Recaro low
back multi-function buckets and embossed door panels. Mercedes Benz
tan berber style carpet floods the floor, and above an overhead
console houses the tunes with a Pioneer Super Tuner 45 x 4 watts,
which kick 4 multi dome hidden Pioneer speakers. A hidden antenna
by Dakota Digital, and a Billet Specialties oval dash houses white
faced black numbered gauges. A Billet Specialties leather covered
steering wheel hangs at the end of a large chromed Ididit tilt
column with shifter. Folks it just does not get any finer on a
custom build as such.
Drivetrain
Drum roll please....dim the lights we are about to be WOWED!!..
Under the hood is an all aluminum Corvette LS1 injected and finely
tuned by Street and Performance mill backed up by a 4L60E automatic
overdrive with a Lokar neutral starter switch. Plenty of power,
chutzpah, balls, lightning, horses, whatever you want to call it
under here. Highlighted in green, hence my coined name, "Green
Meanie"....And reliability to beat the band.
Undercarriage
Downs Mfg. provided the frame, Mullins Vega the cross steering box.
In back a Currie 9-inch Ford 3.90 axle hung on a triangulated 4 bar
and chrome coil over rear shocks. Pro Car jet hot headers and 2-1/2
inch aluminum pipes feed through pristine Flowmaster mufflers, and
chromed wedge tips. What till you hear this baby! A 15-gallon fuel
tank, and all painless wiring snaking its way underneath, and we
have an undercarriage as nice as the topside. Even an additional
disc brake is mounted before the rear at the end of the drive
shaft...And you're going to need it!
Drive-Ability
Hopping in this fender-less Deuce coupe I'd have to admit
immediately this is one of THE nicest builds I've been in. She
fired right up with a mighty roar, and it was off (quickly) to the
test track. Here I was able to experience what happens when you put
a highly tuned Corvette LS1 engine in a fiberglass car with no
fenders. This car just goes and goes, and I did not even get close
to its potential. Its quick as lightning off the line, and power
seems to endlessly make its way to the rear wheels. THIS is a HOT
ROD. There are many at Classic Auto Mall, but this one stands very
tall among many.
A WOW factor, meticulous build, microscopic attention to detail,
fine components and a hot engine, custom interior, great tunes, and
the list goes on and on. You have to have seat time and you too
will be addicted, and magically money will flow out of your wallet,
but it will be an A ticket ride and then some worth every penny.
She's my little Deuce coupe, you've got no damn idea what I've
got!!
