7k-Mile Supercharged 1997 Ford F-150 Pickup 5-Speed
This 1997 Ford F-150 is a single-cab pickup that was delivered new to Lafayette Motor Sales in Fayetteville, North Carolina and is said to have been special-ordered by a Ford executive with an SVT-supercharged 4.6-liter V8, a five-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential. The truck is finished in Oxford White over gray leather, and equipment includes chrome-finished 20? wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a Snugtop bed cover, a bedliner, Cobra badging, a sliding rear window, dual exhaust, air conditioning, and a factory stereo. The current owner acquired the truck in 2011. Now showing 6,600 miles, this Cobra-powered F-150 is offered on dealership consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Monterey Collection Sale with a window sticker, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The truck was delivered new in Oxford White Clearcoat and features a Snugtop bed cover, a plastic bedliner, tinted glass, chrome-finished bumpers, side moldings, a sliding rear window, dual exhaust that terminates behind each rear wheel, and Cobra/Supercharged badging. A Moroso battery box is located in the bed.
Chrome-finished 20? wheels are mounted with 275/45 Goodyear Eagle GTII tires. The power-assisted braking system utilizes front discs and rear drums.
The truck received cloth upholstery from the factory, and the seats have been redone in gray leather with white stitching and Cobra headrest embroidery. Gray carpeting is protected by textured rubber Ford F-Series–branded mats, and a Hurst shifter has been installed for the manual gearbox. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, and a factory stereo with a cassette player as well as an optional remote CD changer.
A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 100-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and four auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 6,600 miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership.
The SVT-supercharged 4.6-liter V8 is said to have been installed by the original Ford dealer in the 1990s. In the contemporary SVT Cobra, the Terminator engine was rated at 390 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.
Power is delivered to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a solid rear axle with an optional limited-slip differential and 3.55:1 gears.
The window sticker shows selected factory options along with a total price of $20,363. A Dealer-Added Equipment section to the right notes the unpriced “4.6 LTR Cobra Conversion Package.”
