This 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo is a very smooth comfortable, easy to drive anywhere, high performance machine as you will ever find. What do I mean by that? Well, in addition to the comfort, style, and smoothness this particular Monte Carlo provides, this SS has one of the best built engines I’ve seen in a long time. the Dart Iron Eagle block, set up the way this is, you just turn the key to light off this amazing power plant, pull the transmission in gear like any other car, and your cruising around with 628 Horses at the ready whenever you are.
The engine and drivetrain in this Monte Carlo is all but unbreakable, and believe it or not, this Monte, has Air Conditioning, power steering, and power 4 wheel disc brakes! I’m here to tell you, that’s not an easy task to pull off.
You want to cruise to car shows, cruise-ins, maybe a rally, or a nice extended road trip, and all at the same time, run in the 11 second bracket in the quarter mile? In the classic car world, that’s pretty unique!
This Monte Carlo SS has enjoyed long term ownership, and as such, has been very well maintained, and taken care of. Super fun to drive, you won’t have to worry about overheating, as this Monte Carlo’s cooling system is as well built and reliable as the rest of the car.
The undercarriage of the Monte Carlo is clean, and dry, and the suspension is set up properly as well. Add to all of this a deep sounding 3” dual exhaust system, perfect stance, and nice wheels and tires, this SS does a very fine job of multi-tasking, as it checks a lot of boxes in the desirability column! Excellent car!
