For Sale: 1953 Chevrolet 3100 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

As a top retailer of performance, history and American muscle, RK Motors makes it easy for you to find cool versions of a variety of cool cars. With that in mind, we're also the outfit that strives to bring our clients unique and well-done customs that are guaranteed to stand out at the show. On that note, our latest lights-out classic is this sweet Chevy 3100: a timeless street rod that, thanks to its modern TCI chassis, modern air conditioning and modern LS power, cruises, parks and turns heads like a true superstar!

CLASSIC SOPHISTICATE

Fully sorted and ready to roll, this polished pickup is the beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up build that mixes head-turning poise with proven athleticism. A heavy dose of tempered charm comes courtesy of rich black two-stage that's as glossy as it is deep. And today, this custom rolls as a unique yet enduring classic that celebrates the very best of America's indelible car culture!

The truck's crisp profile kicks off with a polished bumper, which guards a stylish stainless grille that's centered between modern, stainless-trimmed halos and a traditional Chevrolet header crest. A long, Chevrolet-branded hood leads polished wipers, which clear a tinted and stainless-trimmed greenhouse. Sinuous fenders cage painted running boards beneath a factory mirror and factory door handles. In traditional hot rod fashion, stainless-trimmed bed planks frame a relocated fuel filler. And at back of those planks, a familiar Chevrolet tailgate centers hidden latches between billet plugs, LED taillights and a second polished bumper.

LS POWER

Take a peek under this classic's doomed hood and you'll find eight rowdy cylinders of stout LS small block that twists solid power into effortless torque! At the top of that lightweight aluminum mill, eight polished stacks mix breeze with electronically injected fossils that are funneled through polished rails and a liquid-filled Marshall pressure gauge. A finned and polished valley cover splits color-keyed manifolds, which feed lightweight, LS1-spec heads that are dressed in finned and polished rocker covers. Stock internals spin a factory cam behind a polished Concept One serpentine drive, which hangs a polished power steering pump beneath a polished alternator and a polished AC compressor. Coated headers dodge relocated coil packs, which fire short Chevrolet Performance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a painted aluminum radiator that's complete with a polished cap, polished tubes and a spry puller fan. And not a detail has been missed in this Chevy's glossy engine bay, with items like braided hoses and trick dipsticks complementing brilliant red block skin.

JUST AS NICE

Slide beneath this rig and you'll find a clean, show ready undercarriage that's founded on a sturdy Total Cost Involved chassis. Those Satin Black bones get led by a Mustang II-style front-clip, which cages quality RideTech coil-overs in polished spindles and polished control arms. Opposite that clip, a triangulated 4-link stacks two more RideTech coil-overs on a web of polished bars. A painted 4L60 4-speed twists torque though easy, highway-friendly gears. That momentum is countered by a floor-mounted Classic Performance Products brake booster, which initiates stops through color-keyed Wilwood calipers and a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases into coated, Mandrel-bent pipes, which inflate a coated Pypes crossover and coated Flowmaster mufflers. A steady supply of 'go juice' flows from a massive, body-matched fuel tank. And at the corners, gorgeous Boze Clutches spin 245/30ZR20 Hankook Ventus in front of 305/25ZR20 Hankook Ventus.

COOL IN CONTRAST

But the show doesn't stop there. Not by a long shot! When you pop the doors, you'll find a detail-oriented cockpit that, like the truck's slick body, is dialed in for both style and substance. Top dead center, a crisp dash hangs sleek Dakota Digital VHX telemetry above sculpted extensions for modern air conditioning. A notched and stitched bench is perfectly aligned with custom door skins that are dotted with billet handles, which operate swift power windows. A custom console frames modern Kenwood audio. Clean California Carpet floats wide mats around trick pedals. And the driver spins a polished and half-wrapped steering wheel around a tilting column.

Easy to cruise and even easier to look at, this choice Chevy should make every enthusiast smile. It backs modern performance with a solid restoration that's ready to conquer the blacktop and stop the show! Call your friends at http://www.RKMotors.com for more information.
