We just got in a very nice 1970 Mach 1. This is a "H" code carthat
i want to call a "project" but it is much better than that. We
bought it from a longtime friend who started the restoration
process but decided to put his efforts and money into another
car/project he has. He offered us the car and we jumped on the
opportunity. CHECK IT OUT !
First of all, this is a very nice, solid and clean real Mach 1 that
runs and drives really nice. The body is solid and clean including
the floors, trunk and frame however it does have some rust bubbles
on the lower rear quarter panels and basically that's the worst of
it. The real problem is the paint. It looks good from 10 feet away
but up close you can tell it is mostly original, very weak and
faded. The chrome, trim and weatherstripping is also original and
also in need of replacing. Moving on.... The interior is really
nice. Both front seats were just reupholstered, and the rest is in
excellent condition including the fold down back seat, the carpets,
door panels, headliner and dash. Power comes from what we believe
is the original 351 Windsor engine. We were told that the engine
was recently rebuilt and a 4 bbl. intake and carb were added. All
we know for sure is that it runs really well and sounds awesome.
The original 3 speed manual transmission was replaced by a tight
shifting Richmond 5 speed, and it still retains the original Ford
9" rear. Other features include, power steering, power disc brakes,
dual exhaust and more. This is a limited time offer !! Our
restoration shop is backed up with other projects right now so
instead of it just sitting we figured we would offer it for sale
"AS-IS" This is a really good opportunity for someone to get onto a
pedigree car at a reasonable price. Drive it "AS-IS" and restore it
later or just dive right in and get to it now but either way it is
a good car to own and restore because real Mach 1's like this one
done right are worth big money in today's market. DON'T MISS IT !!
