Vehicle Description
This 1956 Willys Pickup Streetrod is a low-slung V8-powered patina
street machine. So while some may call this a rat rod, you can also
see a level of detail that goes beyond any designation we have
other than "absolutely awesome."
Lovers of patina are instantly attracted to this special worn-in
feeling. But this isn't for the barn find crowd. The cab has been
chopped and streamlined so it looks like it could cheat the wind.
Getting this truck impossibly low to the ground means channeling
the cab over the custom frame and cutting a hole in the modified
bed to fit the rear end. Pinstriping, a custom battery box, and
Cadillac-style tail lights are all part of the custom bed, too. It
has a terrific street machine style, but it also does a terrific
job of still being distantly a Willys. You see it everywhere from
the hallmark grille to the unique ribs in the doors and cab. And
even the Kenda Klever tires are even similar to what you'd put on a
classic Willys pickup. So it feels like they understood how special
a Willys is and made sure it doesn't lose the vibe no matter how
low and loud the custom elements get.
This shows off the right street machine attitude inside. The
license plate trans tunnel, toggle switches, wrapped steering
wheel, and ammo box center console have the right rat rod feel. But
this one goes beyond a simple build with spares. You see it in the
performance pieces, like the full gauges and aluminum racing seats
with proper lap harnesses. And we love how the Lokar shifter has a
Rat Fink kind of style.
The big air grabber and Mickey Thompson valve covers are classic
hot rod pieces. But the Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
intake, and aluminum radiator are part of more modern thoughtful
investments. And we love how this unique build thinks about both
performance and attitude with the up-turned headers that creates
the thunderous vertical stack exhaust. Hairpins in the front and a
three-speed automatic transmission make this unique pickup that's
also a proper cruiser.
This is a low-slung patina custom done with a rarely-seen Willys
pickup body. It's the street machine that loves to both be seen and
heard. Call today!!!
