1937 Cord 812 Beverly Sedan finished in Palm Beach Tan paint. Paint
does have some imperfections here and there, but overall a nice
shine to it; the restoration is moreso on the older side. Riding on
painted to match tan steel wheels with Chrome wheel covers and wide
white walls. Wine cloth bench seat interior with shifter on the
column. Dash is in great shape! Headlights have to be manually
cranked up on each side of the dash; crank up as intended! Equipped
with an electric fuel pump, remember to let that run before turning
over the vehicle. The windshield is also split so it can be vented
one at a time or both! Known as the "Pontoon" fenders with hidden
headlights up front, an iconic look. Powered by the 289 Lycoming V8
under the hood that is paired up with a 3-speed semi-automatic
transmission with overdrive. This being a front wheel drive
vehicle, the transmission sits right up front behind the front
bumper! Something to note: First, Second, and Third shift as they
should but Fourth/Overdrive gear will not engage from the shifter
on the column; although can still be manually shifted by adjusting
the transmission itself. 1937 was the last year of the Cord with
less than 3,000 lifetime total produced! This 4dr sedan has suicide
doors up front and standard doors in the rear. Locking gas cap in
the rear which was a standard option in 1937. Believed to be
original miles at 87,033 miles, but we cannot confirm or deny that
due to age of the vehicle. Starting sequence: turn key on to let
fuel pump run, after a bit (while holding the clutch (and in
neutral)) push the starter button directly below the key. Hood
release is front and center on the hood itself and the release can
be locked as well. Nice sounding Cord!
