Vehicle Description
This 1990 GMC Jimmy 4x4 is an instant classic that has no full-size
equal on today's market. After all, no modern vehicle gets to
remove the hardtop and open up the whole inside to the world in
quite the same way. And because this is one of the final years of
its generation, it comes with great modern features like fuel
injection, an overdrive transmission, and cold-blowing A/C. So look
through the full package that includes investments everywhere from
the lifted stance to the shining paint that makes this an
all-around attractive classic.
The big wheels and tall stance are the definition of outdoor
elegance on the big GMC's squared-off bodywork. Given the
capabilities of these trucks, it wouldn't be surprising if this one
lived most of its life off-road, but the way the panels look on
this really tells you it has seen far less action. The
factory-correct silver paint was given a high-quality respray where
there's a nice metallic that radiates in the sunlight. And the
black billet grille and blacked-out bezels are a nice addition to
go with the black removable hardtop. Outlaw-style wheels, good
trim, upgraded headlights, and nice panels make this attractive. It
looks good but it also remembers the "U" in SUV stands for Utility.
After all, it has the proper stance of a 4x4. And the wide towing
mirrors and a proper trailer hitch are perfect for everything from
getting to work with your trailer to launching your boat.
The gray interior looks stylish against the exterior silver, and as
you look through the full package, you're going to discover
terrific factory features and upgrades. You get high-back front
bucket seats with a center console in-between. This has handy
features like a tilt steering column, cruise control, power locks,
and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input. The power windows
currently work but may need additional servicing for ideal
functioning. Newer rubber seals and window felts keep this
buttoned-up nicely. But when you find the right sunny day, you can
remove a few bolts and have a completely open rear section for a
very cool convertible pickup. And the cold-blowing air conditioning
is there to make sure this Jimmy stays comfortable even as a
convertible.
Under the hood is the hardy small block V8 with desirable factory
fuel injection. It's the kind of strong powerhouse you want to have
to go with the upgraded 4x4 prowess of the taller stance, Warn
locking hubs, two-speed transfer case, and Kevlar-backed Goodyear
Wrangler tires. But as much as this all sounds like a great way to
drive through the dirt, the power steering, power brakes, and front
discs, make this a pleasant SUV for all occasions. And the 700R4
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive gives you nice
ratios for all driving.
Complete with the owner's manual, this was one of the few times you
had the desirable removable rear roof combined with useful features
like a fuel-injected V8. And there are plenty of investments to
keep this both practical and fun. That's what makes this full-size
Jimmy 4x4 irresistible. Call today!!!
